Visiting the Surgery

Please ensure you wear a face covering when entering the Practice.  You should arrive via the rear entrance and call reception on the entry phone by the gate.  For your safety, there are strict social distancing and infection control measures in place, please follow the advice given to you by our staff, when you arrive. 

The NHS and Public Health England are extremely well prepared for outbreaks of any new infectious diseases.  Measures are in place to ensure the safety of patients and NHS staff, whilst also ensuring that services remain available to the public as normal.    

If you think you might have Coronavirus or you have been in close contact with someone who has please see below.

What to do

  1. If you have symptoms of coronavirus infection (COVID-19), however mild, do not leave your home for 10 days from when your symptoms started. This action will help protect others in your community while you are infectious
  2. You do not need to call NHS 111 to go into self-isolation.   If your symptoms worsen during home isolation or are no better after 10 days, contact NHS 111 online.   If you have no internet access, call NHS 111.   For a medical emergency dial 999
  3. DO NOT GO TO A GP SURGERY, PHARMACY OR HOSPITAL  You can use the NHS 111 online service for further advice
  4. Plan ahead and ask others for help to ensure that you can successfully stay at home and ask your employer, friends and family to help you get the things you need to stay at home
  5. Stay at least 2 metres (about 3 steps) away from other people in your home and sleep alone, if possible
  6. Wash your hands regularly for 20 seconds, each time using soap and water, or use hand sanitiser
  7. Stay away from vulnerable individuals, such as the elderly and those with underlying health conditions, as much as possible

Coronavirus Symptoms

The most common symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) are recent onset of:

  • new continuous cough and/or
  • high temperature
  • Loss of smell and taste

 For most people, coronavirus (COVID-19) will be a mild infection

The practice population supports these and they are widely utilised at present.

You will need to confirm your identity by answering several security questions but you will not need to attend the practice.
