COVID-19 VACCINATION PROGRAMME

  • When you are due your Covid 19 Booster vaccination, at least 6 months after your second dose, the NHS will contact you by phone, email or text.    Please follow the instructions and book your vaccination at a National Vaccination centre located near you.  You will have a variety of options relating to access, time and location and bookings can be made by telephone (119) or online.  Parkshot Medical does not provide Booster jabs and cannot book vaccinations for you.  We can confirm the date you had your last vaccination should this be unclear.

If you or your child are unwell and you need advice from the practice then please contact us as you usually would.  Please do not delay contacting us and seeking advice if you need it.  Should you have any queries during the COVID-19 pandemic, please simply contact us but don’t come to the practice.

Visiting the Surgery

Please ensure you wear a face covering when entering the Practice.  For your safety, we are continuing to enforce social distancing and we have retaiined a number of our infection control measures, please follow the advice given to you by our staff, when you arrive. 

The NHS and Public Health England are extremely well prepared for outbreaks of any new infectious diseases.  Measures are in place to ensure the safety of patients and NHS staff, whilst also ensuring that services remain available to the public as normal.    

If you think you might have Coronavirus or you have been in close contact with someone who has please see below.

What to do

  1. If you have symptoms of coronavirus infection (COVID-19), however mild, do not leave your home for 10 days from when your symptoms started. This action will help protect others in your community while you are infectious
  2. You do not need to call NHS 111 to go into self-isolation.   If your symptoms worsen during home isolation or are no better after 10 days, contact NHS 111 online.   If you have no internet access, call NHS 111.   For a medical emergency dial 999
  3. DO NOT GO TO A GP SURGERY, PHARMACY OR HOSPITAL  You can use the NHS 111 online service for further advice
  4. Plan ahead and ask others for help to ensure that you can successfully stay at home and ask your employer, friends and family to help you get the things you need to stay at home
  5. Stay at least 2 metres (about 3 steps) away from other people in your home and sleep alone, if possible
  6. Wash your hands regularly for 20 seconds, each time using soap and water, or use hand sanitiser
  7. Stay away from vulnerable individuals, such as the elderly and those with underlying health conditions, as much as possible

Coronavirus Symptoms

The most common symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) are recent onset of:

  • new continuous cough and/or
  • high temperature
  • Loss of smell and taste

 For most people, coronavirus (COVID-19) will be a mild infection

You can also order repeat prescriptions and view your medical record once you have registered with any of the websites/apps also shown below - you will NOT be able to book appointments via any App.  These can only be requested via Parkshot Pathways or by phone.

There are a number of Apps available but the above are the most widely utilised at present, and the practice supports these.   (You do not have to be registered with any of these to make use of the Parkshot Pathways link.)   You can confirm your identity by answering several security questions and adding passport photos and personal details, but you will not need to attend the practice to do this.   

Alternatively, you can call into the practice, provide us with photographic proof of identity, and we will print out personal access information for you to use to login.  This can also be done via our Pathways link above which allow us to verify your details.   We can then email the confidential information to you, provided you accept liaibility for transmission, as your email address will not be secure.
